Nana bought this book for my 3 year old son (her Grandson) and was fortunate enough to meet the author and for him to write a message for my son, George.
This has now become one of George’s favourite books, he loves having it read to him and thinks his Nana is the real Nana Troll! We’ve spent many happy times giggling at the stories in the book, a brilliant read for both children and their parents. We can hardly wait for the authors next book as I’m sure we’ll all love it as much as this one!
      Highly recommended.

Hi there Mike you asked me to message you when Toby had read his book you so kindly gave him when we both had a stall at the Emmanuel church before Xmas. Well it’s been interesting reading to say the least as he was getting very frustrated not knowing all the words but we got there in the end and he absolutely loves the story (as do I) and can’t wait for more adventures. Toby was soooo very proud that day you gave him that book and it’s even got him making up his own little stories you seemed to of sparked an interest in his imagination and both myself and his dad can’t thank you enough. He is now reading it again he enjoyed it so much (with help from dad this time)
Thank you so much jenny X

This is a book to enjoy as a family. I read it to my 4 year old and 10 year old at the same time and we all chuckled at different bits. Being French my favourite bit is the story of the snails but that’s only one highlight. And behind the fun exterior there are some important themes like waste and bullying. Don’t hesitate to buy it, you will make some happy readers!

An hilarious tale of a much loved Nan based on the memories of the author’s amazing Mum. Vivid descriptions combined with brilliant illustrations can only leave strong memories as epitomised by overhearing a small boy clearly relating his favourite part of the story to his Grandparents after a visit of the author to his school during Book Week.

What a great read – for children of all ages and adults alike! Wonderfully engaging with exciting adventures and superb illustrations. Who wouldnt want there very own ‘nana troll!’. Mike has thought about everything too: the right colour for the pages – for readers of all abilities; stand out words to keep the reading flowing, to keep the engagement and to support word recognition by repetition! Mike has had schools and children all over south Derbyshire transfixed with his creation! Well done Mike! We look forward to more adventures with this wonder woman!
